Dibuka Brochure and Poster. My message is I wanted the viewer to feel seen and represented in the illustrations. I showcased elements of South African pain and triumphs in the illustrations so that the viewer can identify with aspects of their history whilst still

creating a new journey with the French language. By using black and white I wanted to create a blank canvas whereby through engaging with the library the viewer can create a new collaborative palette on what it means to be human in this black and white world.

 

Dibuka is a library in South Africa which consists of Francophone multimedia in order to promote the French language. Based at the Alliance Française and opens up a rich world for any age group with over 20 000 books, DVDs, learning materials etc. to choose from as well as regular cultural events. It also offers access to the Culturethèque, an online library portal with even more resources (Dibuka,2023).
